Patricia Roby

Patricia joined the law firm in 1984 as a delivery and administrative runner with no prior legal experience. From the outset, she distinguished herself through her exceptional work ethic, reliability, initiative, and leadership potential. Recognizing these qualities, the firm’s partners provided opportunities for advancement that allowed her to build expertise across multiple areas of firm management. Throughout her tenure, she has held positions in accounting, human resources, and administration, ultimately being appointed Firm Administrator in 1999.

In her role as Administrator, Patricia oversees the firm’s accounting, human resources, administrative staff, and day-to-day business functions. She plays a vital role in supporting the firm’s attorneys and ensuring the efficient operation of all aspects of the practice. Her leadership, institutional knowledge, and commitment to excellence have contributed significantly to the firm’s continued success and stability.

Beyond her administrative responsibilities, Patricia is actively involved in coordinating the firm’s community outreach and charitable initiatives. She frequently leads the firm’s support of local organizations, including the Humane Society of Sarasota County and Girls Inc. of Sarasota County, reflecting the firm’s longstanding commitment to community service.

Originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, Patricia relocated to Florida in 1973 and has called Sarasota home ever since. She is a 1983 graduate of Booker High School and attended Manatee Junior College. Her four decades of service exemplify dedication, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the clients, attorneys, and staff of Syprett Meshad & DuBose.
