Personal Injury Attorney | Advocate | Community Leader
For E. Keith DuBose, practicing law is about more than handling cases—it is about helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives and making a meaningful difference in the community he has always called home.
Keith was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. His roots in the community run deep, and his commitment to hard work, teamwork, and service began long before he entered a courtroom.
Keith attended Duke University on a football scholarship and was a member of Duke’s 1989 ACC Championship football team. After earning his undergraduate degree from Duke, he attended the University of Florida College of Law. With the opportunity to begin his legal career in his hometown, Keith returned to Sarasota, where he could remain close to his family while building a practice dedicated to serving the people and families of his community.
A Powerful Advocate When It Matters Most
For more than 25 years, Keith has represented individuals and families who have suffered serious injuries or the devastating loss of a loved one because of the negligence of others.
Throughout his career, Keith has helped recover millions of dollars in compensation for his clients, including multiple seven-figure recoveries. His approach to personal injury law combines legal knowledge and experience with preparation, tenacity, and compassion.
Keith understands that behind every personal injury case is a person or family whose life has been unexpectedly changed. Whether an injury was caused by the negligence of an individual, a business, or a large corporation, Keith is prepared to stand up for his clients and hold responsible parties accountable.
In the courtroom, at the negotiating table, and throughout the litigation process, Keith’s philosophy remains straightforward: listen to the client, understand what has been taken from them, and fight to make it right.
Sarasota Is Home
Keith’s commitment to Sarasota and the surrounding community extends well beyond his law practice. Over the years, he has devoted significant time to programs and organizations focused on community empowerment, educational opportunity, and improving the quality of life throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.
Keith regularly provides local youth organizations with tours of the Sarasota County courthouse and judicial centers, giving young people an opportunity to experience the legal system firsthand and encouraging them to envision possibilities for their own futures. He also sponsors community events, mentors local students, speaks at community programs, and serves on boards dedicated to strengthening the community.
Known for his charismatic and dynamic personality, Keith is equally comfortable speaking before a courtroom, a community organization, or a group of young people looking for encouragement and direction. He firmly believes that today’s young people are the foundation of tomorrow’s community and that those who have been given opportunities have a responsibility to help create opportunities for others.
Family Comes First
For all of Keith’s accomplishments as an attorney and community advocate, the roles that matter most to him are husband and father. Away from the office and courtroom, Keith enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Jessica, and being a devoted dad to his four children, Noah, Leah, Ezra and Naomi. Whether attending family activities, spending time together at home, or simply enjoying the everyday moments that come with raising a family, Keith considers that time among the most important and rewarding parts of his life.
Being a husband and father also shapes the way Keith approaches his work. He understands that when someone is seriously injured, the consequences rarely affect that person alone—they affect spouses, children, parents, and entire families. That perspective reinforces his commitment to treating every client as a person rather than simply another case.
Experience. Compassion. Results.
Keith has built his career on the belief that excellent legal representation requires both strength and compassion. Clients need an attorney capable of aggressively pursuing their interests, but they also deserve someone who understands what they and their families are experiencing. With more than two decades of experience, millions of dollars recovered for injured clients, deep roots in Sarasota, and a longstanding commitment to serving his community, Keith brings that combination to every client he represents.
For Keith, success is measured not only by the results achieved in a case, but also by the difference he can make in the lives of the people, families, and community he serves.
